I've had similar issues on my Surface 3, HP Folio, Lenovo Thinkpad. P.S: imo, Windows sucks with cellular in general. I did open the cover just to make sure the SIM was seated but it was, I did not remove or touch the the SIM.Īnyone else experience this? Any solutions? Later after a few reboots it's working just like it's supposed to. That is how it presents itself although I wouldn't be surprised if it was actually some other issue and it just didn't have a specific error message. As far as I can tell it's entirely a software issue. I know there has been no physical damage to the tablet or the SIM card and after enough reboots it will recognize the SIM card again and work like it is supposed to. Specifically it will say that I need to insert a SIM card even though there is already one present and sometimes even after multiple reboots it insists there is no SIM card even though there is. Over the last week or so I've been noticing some issues with the cellular connectivity on my Surface Pro X.
